Come join us at our fourth annual Electric fly in at the beautiful Michell Field flying site in Victoria. Your registration includes lunch and beverages for the day; dinner is an additional $10 (steak or chicken, plus fixins!). There will also be an optional three-event foamy fun fly after dinner. Generators will be on site along with several DC power supplies for you to hook up to. A few chargers will also be available; bring your own connectors. This is a laid back, relax and enjoy the flying event. MAAC is required, and aircraft will be subject to a quick safety check if you've not flown at the field before. 3rd Annual Kamikaze Fun Fly August 21st 2010, at Upper Coquitlam River Park in Coquitlam Otherwise known as Kamiakze field and home to WCRCAF Bring your RC Aircraft out for a fun day at Kamikaze. The field is smaller than some but we fly 60 size sport planes and even larger 3D planes there, and the field is awesome for helis. Make sure you bring out your foamies for some formation and if you have a Stryker or Ultra Micro planes, like J3 Cub, Mustangs, 4sites and Sukhois, bring those for sure too. Going to have some great games, some Limbo, some Barnstorming, and more. Bring a lunch and a chair, and stay the day. Event will start at Noon and go right through the day. Anyone wanting to bring some Night Flying aircraft, we'll be on site still for that. MAAC or AMA is required, make sure you bring your card, no entrance fee or club membership required, all insured flyers are welcome and all skills levels. The field is located at the north end of Pipeline Road in Coquitlam. Get on Pipeline from Westwood or David, then go North till you see the chain link fence on the right, just after the gravel pitts. It is a simple .doc file that the competitor must download, fill out, save & print. You can then send it via mail with the entry fee to the Contest Director. Entry Fee is $100 Canadian and is non refundable. Entry deadline is July 1st 2010 Basic Club Rules: A VRCMS Member must be in attendance (I will be there:-) and valid MAAC insurance displayed. All club rules and safe flying area's must be strictly adhered to. No Flying before 10 a.m. (no exceptions.) Enjoy a weekend in September at the Lakeview Park site where for 23 years plane modelers have gotten together, relaxed and enjoyed flying their models off wonderful Cowichan Lake. Mid day Friday,17 September to Mid day Sunday, 19 September 2010. 8:00 AM to Dusk on Saturday. Just north of Duncan BC, get on Hwy 18 to the Town of Lake Cowichan. A half kilometer past the Town turn right at the Lakeview Park sign. Follow Float Fly signs. Registration fee is by donation to the Nicole Stock Penny Drive, a local Town of Lake Cowichan charity for sick kids. 72 sites are available for camping. 36 with power and water. Corn, burgers and chili will be available for lunch and dinner on Tooney Saturday. No need to bring food Saturday.
