Sad News from NW Ontario

It is with great sadness and shock that the Lake of the Woods Aero Modelers must tell you all that Hank Rheault from our club died to-day (February 7 2008). We were, very fortunate to have had Hank as a good friend, mentor and active member of our club. Hank was a first rate instructor, served on the executive and always there to help with runway maintenance or facility construction. Working with fiberglass was second nature for him.
Hank had a passion for the Sea Fury and the Mosquito aircraft. He was a walking encyclopedia of local aviation history. He always had a smile on his face when he was doing anything that related to aviation. The image of that huge grin and the thumbs up when he went for a ride on a USA ex navy SNJ2 at Virginia Beach, Virginia in September 2007 is a fond memory that I will cherish.
We will miss him at out Friday morning coffees, at the airfield, at our and our neighbor’s fun fly events and in our shops.
