ACC Delegate
Purpose of the Committee
The Aero Club of Canada (ACC) serves as the National Aerosport Control (NAC) organization responsible for governing the participation of Canadian competitors in activities overseen by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI). Since its inception, MAAC has held a mandate to be associated with the ACC, which allows Canadian members to participate in international competitions and the recording of official records. The ACC has formally delegated the control of aeromodelling in Canada to MAAC, meaning that any individual wishing to compete on the world stage must maintain MAAC membership.
The MAAC Board of Directors appoints the ACC Delegate to manage the relationship between the two organizations. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that MAAC’s interests are represented within the broader Canadian airsport community and at the international level through the FAI. This position is critical for maintaining standards of professional representation and ensuring the association remains the leading authority for aeromodelling in Canada.
