CIAM Delegate

Purpose of the Committee

The Commission Internationale d'Aéromodélisme (CIAM) is the Aeromodelling Commission of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the global governing body for sport aviation. The CIAM Delegate is the individual appointed by the MAAC Board of Directors to serve as the association's official representative to this international body.

The primary purpose of the CIAM Delegate is to manage the ongoing interaction between MAAC and CIAM. This role is essential for ensuring that MAAC remains at the forefront of international technical processes, including aircraft design, electronics, and competition standards. The delegate acts as a liaison, representing MAAC's corporate interests at the international level while ensuring Canadian competitors can continue to participate in FAI World Championships.
