Ivan Pettigrew Spring Float & Land Fly Open Invitational

Event Description

Join us for the second annual open invitational, Ivan Pettigrew Float and Land Fly. Here is your chance to fly with the man himself.

Ivan has designed and built many aircraft and sold the plans for these great flying machines around the world. Many of you that will be attending, most likely are already flying one of Ivan's water planes and know how good they are.

We are very fortunate to have one of only a handful of clubs that have a water strip and a land strip side by side. The water side boasts approximately 1 million square feet of flying fun, and the land strip is approximately 325ft with a 100ft over run. The approaches, especially from the east, allow you to drag a plane 3ft off the ground for a very long way.

We have very adequate camping area for tents, trailers and motor homes but there are no services available. This area is only 300 ft from the action.

We will be providing Hot dogs, Hamburgers, & Chili and assorted bottled drinks. We are working on supplying coffee as well.

We have slated the event for two days, (Saturday & Sunday) but early birds Friday are welcome. If the weather is good and there is enough flyers still with us, we will run the event into Monday, but scaled back a little bit.

Hope to see all you there to make the inaugural Fly-In very memorial and most important - FUN !
