The Wingham Jet Rally
Event Description
The Wingham Jet Rally is in its 9th year. This years event starts on Friday July 21st and ends at 2 pm on Sunday July 23rd. The event welcomes Jet flyers from across Canada and the USA. Turbine and electric powered models are welcome. There is a food concession open from 10 am until the end of the day on Friday through Sunday. For pilots and friends we hold a banquet dinner on Saturday evening starting at 6:30 pm. The meal is included in the pilot registration and extra tickets can be purchased for $20.00 each. We get great support from our sponsors with raffle prizes adding up to over $4000.00. Raffle tickets are sold at the registration tent for $5.00 each. We also award trophies for outstanding models in several categories. Parking for non pilots costs $5.00 per car. Camping is available on the farm beside the airport. Flight line tents are available and need to be arranged through Blair Howkins, 416-432-3871. The tents will be installed on Thursday afternoon.
