MAAC has officially launched the Aeromodelling Strategy Advisory Group (ASAG), a volunteer team now meeting weekly to help prepare the association for the next phase of model aircraft and drone regulation in Canada. The group's current focus is Transport Canada's proposed rule changes (NPA 2026-06) and the coming Community Based Organization (CBO) framework, the model under which associations like MAAC are expected to be recognized to manage and support member flying.
