Q 500 Pylon Race
Event Description
Edmonton Radio Control Society will host the annual Pylon Race with 2 events, that being Q500 (AMA Class 426) and Quarter Midget 40 ( QM40 AMA class 422). The Q500 event will fly on Saturday and the QM40 event will fly on Sunday. These will be 3 plane heats, using the judge-man race management system. Fuel and lunch provided for contestants. Pre-registration is required through the CPPRA website at www.cppra.org before June 10 th at 6pm to allow for matrix creation. Rules Deviations:
AMA 426 rules apply with the exception of engine. In addition to the AMA engine ruling the Nelson short stroke Q500 engine is allowed when the mini-pipe is removed from the expansion chamber. This de-tunes the 1/4 wave tune pipe and reverts it to an expansion chamber only
