Event Description

This event is tentatively re-scheduled to Saturday, 02SEP17 due to inclement weather on the 10th & 11th of June 17. Further amendments to this notice will be made in due course. Come out and compete with yourself. This event is designed to encourage the development of flying skills especially for people without a lot of competitive experience. Only Sportsman and Intermediate classes will be flown. Experienced pilots and judges will be available to "coach" novice competitors on how to improve their skills. The basic fee covers a BBQ lunch. Unserviced camping available at field on nights of June 9th & 10th. Restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, and motels available nearby. Field is twenty minutes from West Edmonton Mall. See club website and/or facebook pages for further details and updates. Participants and spectators are required to have fun and enjoy the event. Proof of MAAC membership required. Rules Deviations:
The two meter airplane size rule and the 60 degree pattern "box" rule will be relaxed. Any fixed wing model, with any power (electric/glow/gas) is acceptable The point of the event is to encourage novice participation in pattern flying without being overly restrictive. All participants are required to have fun and enjoy the event
