May 2017 Lacombe Jet Together

Event Description

CARFF Jet Rallye, August Jet Together, to be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Lacombe Airport, CEG3.

This is a MAAC sanctioned event, held under the CARFF banner, specifically for pilots of ducted fan, electric ducted fan, turbine, and turbo-prop powered aircraft. All pilots must fly with a spotter, and the airport UNICOM frequency will be monitored for full scale traffic. The airport will not be closed during this event, however, Saturdays are not usually busy. We can and will work together with full scale aircraft to ensure the safety of all involved. Start time is 9am, and flying will go as late as we want. We have the full support of the Lacombe Flying Club for this event. The Lacombe Airport is located in the Northeast corner of the City of Lacombe, and features a 3000 X 75 foot paved runway.
The $20 entry fee covers BBQ burgers or hot dogs and drinks for lunch. All remaining funds will be donated to Lacombe Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
