Event Description

Valley of Hope IMAC Challenge. Travelling from East or West on Hwy 54, turn North on RR 45 (Roosters Lumber sign) for 3.4 km, turn rt. crossing Texas gate follow trail for 700 meters and turn left into flying field. With thousands of feet of runway, and miles of open sky, Valley of Hope is the location to spend a weekend testing your IMAC skills, Lots of room for dry camping, with lunch on both days. All levels from basic to unlimited will be flown, Normal Aresti for upper classes. Landing fee: $30 for IMAC members $40 for non-members. Proof of valid MAAC or IMAC required. Directions:
Departing Innisfail and heading west is highway #54. On highway #54 between Spruce View and Caroline is located the hamlet of Raven. From the turnoff to Raven, continue on Highway #54 and drive 5 km west to Range Road 45. Turn north on to Range Road 45 (Large Harriman Lumber sign) and drive 3.4 km. Turn right, immediately cross a Texas gate and drive 700 metres. This is the entrance to the flying field. Turn left and follow the dirt trail for approximately 150 metres.
